Vision

Founded as Providence Center in 1961, Providence of Maryland, Inc. is the oldest and most comprehensive supported employment, pre-employment, and day habilitation provider in Anne Arundel County, Maryland and one of the oldest in Maryland, serving the needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was the first organization in the county founded for people with developmental disabilities. Our dedication to serving people is rooted in the belief that community is meant for every person regardless of ability, and everyone should be afforded the opportunity to live, learn, and work in their community.

Providence is the first and only choice for the best, most committed care possible for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We will continue to advance our mission to improve people’s lives.
