Founded in 1961, Providence of Maryland is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to discover and live their best lives in Anne Arundel and Charles Counties in Maryland. Our organization delivers comprehensive supports and services strategically designed for each person to promote community engagement, competitive employment, and self-advocacy. Support Services Living your best life entails holistic support for your physical and mental well-being. At Providence, we offer a comprehensive approach, which includes nursing assistance and behavioral supports when needed.

Pottery & Arts Studio

Our Pottery & Arts Studio, located in Arnold, Maryland, has operated as a valuable community resource for over 40 years. You can help support our mission with each purchase of our one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pottery pieces or by attending one of our studio events and classes. Every purchase supports our mission of helping people learn, grow, and build the full lives they want within their communities.

Greenhouses

Providence Greenhouses focus on wholesale production of native plants. We use environmentally-friendly growing practices to grow a wide variety of true Maryland ecotypes at reasonable costs. Seasonal retail offerings are also available. Our Greenhouses also provide employment opportunities for people we support. Our Greenhouses team members are continuously gaining in-depth knowledge of horticulture and commercial nursery practices, and building professional skills for community employment.
