What We Do
Admission Process

Let’s Get Started

Admissions at Providence of Maryland

Providence is a provider of choice among people and their families because of our person driven and community focused approach to supporting people to discover and live their best lives, and our experience serving our communities for more than 60 years.

We work with people ages 21 and older, providing a comprehensive array of supports and services tailored to each person so they achieve all they want in life.

Providence’s staff are highly trained, caring professionals who work alongside each person to support them to live their best life. They also work closely with families, advocates, transition facilitators, government agencies, community employers, donors and friends who believe in and support our mission.

"I like Providence because it's a place where I can lead events and classes. I lead an upcycling class where I turn old stuff into new stuff and I'm in charge of the open mic night. If you're thinking about coming to Providence, you should try it out and see if it's the right fit for you!"
- Trevor Lanham, Self Advocate

"Adam is doing amazing. He is talking much more. He talks about where he goes and what he does. Adam did not do this in the past." "He loves to go to Providence; I say ready (mom talking to Adam), Adam says, Let's go!" "I am so thankful for Providence."
- Ashley Morales, Mother of Adam, a recent transitioning youth who is now receiving supports at Providence
