FAQs

What is the process for partnering with Providence?

When partnering with Providence Career Services, we prioritize thoroughly understanding your organization’s unique needs and objectives. The process begins with extensive research to gain insights into your business and build a strong relationship. As the partnership evolves, we work closely with you to understand your specific needs before proposing tailored solutions or strategies to meet those needs. Then, we continue with follow-up actions to ensure satisfaction and maintain an ongoing engagement to foster a lasting and beneficial partnership.

What kind of roles can I offer if I can’t provide full-time employment?

If you cannot provide full-time employment, you can contribute and make a significant impact in numerous ways. We can explore options such as part-time employment, shadow opportunities, or work-based learning experiences for those seeking industry exposure.

You could also offer your expertise in conducting mock interviews, which can be incredibly beneficial for job seekers preparing to enter the workforce.

Can you explain the level of support provided by Providence throughout the employment process?

The level of support we provide throughout the employment process is tailored to the specific needs of both the job seeker and the employer. We understand that every job seeker and organization has unique requirements and circumstances. Our approach is to work closely with all parties involved, ensuring that we meet everyone’s needs effectively. Whether it’s guidance through the recruitment process, assistance in role matching, or ongoing support post-employment, we aim to facilitate a successful and mutually beneficial job match.

Who will be responsible for determining wages?

The employer is responsible for determining and setting the wages for any roles within their organization. These wages must be competitive and commensurate with the job seeker’s skill set and experience level.

Can you provide examples of how this partnership could benefit my business?

Meeting Hiring Needs: We specialize in identifying and presenting strong candidates who fit well with your company culture and the specific job requirements.

Assisting Job Seekers: We don’t stop at just finding the right candidate for your organization. We also assist job seekers in transitioning into their new roles, which can help them hit the ground running and start contributing to your team more quickly. This transition assistance can include everything from providing additional training to helping them understand and adapt to your company culture.

Ongoing Support: Our involvement doesn’t end when a candidate is hired. We provide ongoing support to both the job seeker and the employer to contribute to a smooth and successful employment relationship.

Are there any hidden costs or fees associated with your services?

No, there are no hidden costs or fees required of the employer.

What are the expectations from employers who provide ‘job shadow’ experiences?

We believe that ‘job shadow’ experiences are a powerful tool for job seekers, but we make it simple for employers. We ask employers to collaborate with us to create opportunities for observation. This involves allowing job seekers to watch employees during their regular workday and understand the core tasks involved in specific roles. We encourage an interactive environment where job seekers can ask questions and workers are open to providing answers.

What kind of training or preparation will the potential employees have before they start?

There are no prerequisite training that a job seeker needs to complete before they start. Every job seeker should undergo the same onboarding process as any other employee. Providence is here to assist job seekers in completing any specific training their employer requires once they’re onboard. Depending on the job’s requirements, this could range from safety protocols to understanding company policies and procedures.

How does Providence ensure a good match between the job and the employee?

Providence goes the extra mile to fully understand the employer’s needs and the attributes of their ideal candidate. We consider the job requirements, company culture, and specific skills needed for each role. This in-depth understanding then guides us in creating a job match that benefits the job seeker and employer.

What happens if the employment situation doesn’t work out as planned?

If the employment situation doesn’t go as planned, Providence remains steadfast in its support for the employer. Whether it’s a case of resignation or job termination, we assist in the entire process. We understand that transitions can be challenging and aim to make them as smooth as possible.
