June 3, 2026

Annapolis, MD – May 29, 2026 – Providence of Maryland, a nonprofit organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, proudly announces the appointment of Nicholas Cintron to its Board of Directors. Cintron brings experience in corporate law, strategic leadership, and community involvement, along with a personal passion for supporting people with disabilities and their families.

A lifelong Anne Arundel County resident, Cintron graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School before earning a double major in English and Philosophy from Stetson University and later his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2016. He joined the Maryland Bar that same year.

Cintron began his legal career in settlement services before joining Caruso Homes, Inc. in 2017, where he focused on land acquisition and contract drafting. In 2020, he was promoted to in-house counsel and now oversees the company’s legal operations across five states. He is also involved in community service efforts through Caruso Cares and has previously volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and homeless shelters in Washington, D.C.

“My interest in Providence is rooted in what I’ve witnessed through my wife’s work as a special needs teacher. The right support and opportunities can make an immense difference in individuals’ lives. My legal background has centered on turning complex challenges into workable real-world solutions, which I believe aligns closely with Providence’s core mission. I look forward to advancing work that helps ensure adults with disabilities have access to meaningful, sustained opportunities.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Nick Cintron to Providence’s Board of Directors,” said Karen Adams-Gilchrist, President and CEO of Providence of Maryland. “Nick brings an impressive legal background, but what really stands out is his genuine connection to our mission and the people we support. He understands the importance of creating opportunities and strong community supports, and I know his perspective and leadership will be a tremendous asset to Providence as we continue to grow.”

Providence of Maryland remains committed to expanding opportunities and providing meaningful services to support people to live their best lives in their communities across Anne Arundel and Charles Counties. With the addition of Nicholas Cintron to its Board of Directors, the organization looks forward to continuing to strengthen its work and advance its mission in the years ahead.
