Glen Burnie – Providence, a non-profit organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities, announced today that its “The Hero in All of Us” event on Thursday raised more than $44,000, funds that will directly support the organization’s programs, services, and clients. “The Hero in All of Us” was held at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis. Providence Executive Director Chuck Coble said in a statement, “We are so grateful for everyone that came out to support Providence’s dynamic mission and services,” Coble said. “The fact is that we consider our participants true heroes for facing challenges head on each day and, by extension, so are those that support us so that we can do the work we do.”
Providence, a non-profit organization based in Anne Arundel County, operates five facilities which provide care and training in programs such as Horticulture, Woodshop, and Pottery throughout the county.
